on US-10. Situated on the Muskegon River, (which
can be enjoyed fromRiverside Park to the south of town), this picturesque community has maintained a
balance of past and present, with a turn-of-the-century downtown
look and a recently built high school and expanding industrial park. Evart is also located on the
Pere Marquette Rails-To-Trails State Park, with over two miles paved within city limits. Of the many activities
that stand tall in the minds of visitors, by far the best is
the world-famous Dulcimer Fun Fest. This 4-day
extravaganza, usually celebrated the 3rd weekend of July, features strictly non-electric stringed
instruments
